This is a personal favorite of mine. It is an opportunity to spend five days immersed in a beautiful environment that is designed to help horses and students express themselves and learn, together.
Having five days allows us to craft an experience that feels less compressed than a shorter clinic format. With a little more breathing room we can allow for a deeper dive into both horsemanship and self-awareness.
This will include-
- One on one sessions with your horse.
- Group sessions for ground work and riding, as the group dictates.
- Theory sessions and discussion on topics such as -Mammalian emotional systems, creating connection, setting boundaries, healthy horse biomechanics, and more.
- Demos from Michelle and Troy, with their personal horses.
- Special opportunity for guided herd observation time with the two resident herds, followed by horse behavior discussion.
Get the best of both worlds - the benefit of a small group, along with plenty of time for individual attention.
These are very special clinics, limited to only 6 participants. We are keeping class size small to foster the best learning environment for you and your horse.
This format will include playing on the ground, riding, and theory/discussion. Some time with horses will be in a group setting, and some time will be in individual sessions.
A few auditor positions are available and require pre-registration on the website.
Cost is $750 for the clinic. A $100 non-refundable deposit will hold your spot.
12' x 12' covered pen stabling is an additional $15 p/night- Please bring your own water buckets and feed for your horse.
There is ample parking for big rigs, and a limited number of electrical hookups are available for overnight camping at $20 per night. There are also many hotel options within 20 minutes in New Glarus, Mount Horeb, and Verona, WI.
