Connor

Connor is the horse partner I have had the very longest. He is a 14.2h QH gelding, and I got him in 2006, when he was 2 1/2 years old. Together

we have ridden in at least 14 different states and spent years on the road traveling in pursuit of my horsemanship education. We've ridden in the

Rocky Mountains of CO, the swamps of FL, the Saguaro forests of Southern AZ, the Black Hills of SD, and the Sierra Nevada foothills in CA. We have

performed for crowds of neighborhood kids at our home, and in a coliseum of 3,000 at Midwest Horse Fair.

I believe it is an asset to my students to not only continue my horsemanship education, but to continue to learn from a long time partner whose

baggage, good and not so good, is all from our journey together.

Connor has taught me more than any other single horse, so be sure and thank him the next time you see him!

Ripley

Ripley is my newest addition, and I'm so excited for our future together! He is a 2019, 14h Arabian/QH cross, with western performance legends on

his QH side, and english performance champions on his Arab side. You will be seeing a lot more of this little powerhouse in the future.

Reina

Reina is a 17.3h, 2013, Oldenburg mare. She is the most particular and emotionally demanding horse I have ever owned, and she is continually challenging me to grow, both in my horsemanship and in self-awareness. I have had to reevaluate how I apply pressure, set boundaries, gain trust, and the way I approach every other horse is that much better because of her high standards.

Arnie

Arnie is a 15.3h 2006 QH gelding that came home with me from the Parelli center in 2009, but as soon as he met Troy it was clear he was meant to be his horse, and they continue their "bromance" to this day. Arnie takes his role of herd/farm supervisor very seriously, and he can often be found on high ground, keeping an eye on the herds.
